Symbolic handover of basic food packages by PTDI President Director, Gita Amperiawan to Cicendo Sub-district Head, Mrs. Siti Romlah
Bandung (13/03) – In preparation for Eid al-Fitr 1447 H and as a form of concern for the surrounding community, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, held a Ramadan Sharing activity by distributing hundreds of basic food packages to the community around the Company. The activity, which was held at the Dirgantara II (Dharma Wanita) Building, PTDI Bandung, was also part of a series of events commemorating Defend ID's 4th Anniversary as the Indonesian defense industry holding company. Funding for this year's PTDI Ramadan Sharing program was collected from PTDI, its subsidiaries, namely IPTN North America (INA Inc.), PT Nusantara Turbin and Propulsion (PT NTP), and Dirgantarawati to help ease the burden on communities in need, especially those around PTDI's operational areas.
On this occasion, PTDI distributed 880 free food packages to orphans from the Habiburrahman Mosque Foundation, mosque caretakers in the Pajajaran area, and residents around the company in the Husein Sastranegara, Pajajaran, and Sukaraja sub-districts, as well as internal company colleagues. The packages contained various basic necessities such as rice, sugar, wheat flour, and vegetable oil, which are expected to help meet the community's needs ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
The President Director of PTDI stated, "The distribution of these free food packages is a manifestation of PTDI's social and environmental responsibility to the community surrounding the company. We hope this simple assistance can help alleviate the daily needs of the beneficiaries, including orphans, mosque caretakers, HIV/AIDS survivors, and internal company colleagues. We hope this activity brings blessings and further strengthens the relationship between the company and the community."
PTDI remains committed to providing sustainable social contributions to the community through various community care programs, including the Ramadan Sharing program and the 2026 Free Homecoming program organized by the company. In line with the spirit of collaboration within the national defense industry ecosystem under the auspices of Defend ID, PTDI hopes that this series of programs will provide tangible benefits to the community while strengthening harmonious relations between the company and its surrounding environment during the holy month of Ramadan.
